1. HOW MUCH TYPES OF VISA TO VIETNAM?

According to purpose, there are 03 types of Vietnam visa that you should know:

  • Tourist Visa
  • Business Visa
  • Visa for other purposes such as study, visit relatives,...

But based on length of stay and number of entries, there are 06 categories:

  • 1 month single entry visa;
  • 1 month multiple entries visa;
  • 3 month single entry visa;
  • 3 month multiple entries visa;
  • 6 month multiple entries visa;
  • 1 year multiple entries visa.

2. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

 Do I need to scan my passport?

In most cases, there is no need to scan a passport to apply for a visa online. However, if the immigration office needs to verify the information you provide, you are required to send them a photocopy of your passport. In this case, we will notify you by email immediately.

Do I need a photo and if so, what is the image size?

Yes, that's right. However, photos are only required upon arrival at Vietnam's airports, so be sure to bring at least 2 standard passport sized portraits (4x6cm).

Note: If you don't have time to prepare the pictures before your departure, you can also get them taken at a Vietnam airport for 2 USD or less each.

What if my passport expires?

To apply for a visa to Vietnam, your passport must have at least 6 months validity. Therefore, if your passport is about to expire, please get a new one before submitting your visa application to avoid unwanted problems at the airport.

Should I give you the exact date of arrival?

No, it's not necessary. The arrival date you provide must be the earliest you intend to arrive, but you may arrive after that date. Departure date is the last day you are allowed to stay in the country, unless your visa is extended.

Example: If you apply for a 1-month visa and submit your arrival date like January 1, 2011, the visa letter will be valid from January 1, 2011 - February 1, 2011. You can come anytime between Jan 1 – February 1 but had to leave the country by February 1, 2011.

What are the procedures at Vietnam airport?

Upon arrival at the airport, wait to fill out a simple form. Remember to bring at least 2 passport size photos (4x6cm), 25 USD for stamp fee per person (1 month only). You may have to wait 15 minutes for the process to complete. (See instructions on how to apply for a visa at Vietnam airports)

What is a visa on arrival?

This is another way to get Vietnam visa. You just need to fill in the “Online Form”, pay the Service Fees, you will receive the “Visa Approval Letter” in 2-3 working days and pick up your visa at the airport upon arrival.

Once we receive your approval letter, we will forward you a copy by email. Copies of the same document will be forwarded on your behalf to Vietnam immigration checkpoints at international airports. When you arrive in Vietnam, the immigration officers will have the documents ready and will be able to issue your entry visa quickly. (See instructions on how to apply for a visa at Vietnam airports)

Is “Visa on arrival” legal?

It's legal. Visa on arrival is another way to get your visa to Vietnam. Also IATA (International Air Traffic Association) accepted visa on arrival. Check the visa information sections on the following airline websites: Sky team, Oneworld and Star Alliance.

What is a "Letter of Approval"?

The “Visa Approval Letter” is a letter issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department allowing you to enter and exit Vietnam within a certain period of time. With the approval letter, you can pick up your visa on arrival at one of international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang,...).

At the airport, the respective agency will verify the details on the approval letter based on your passport and travel documents. As long as you make sure you enter the correct details when applying, you will definitely be issued an entry permit upon arrival in Vietnam with a letter of approval. However, it is advised that you read our website and follow all instructions carefully to avoid problems or delays at the airport.

How do I get my visa approval letter?

A color scanned copy of the approval letter will be emailed to you, so be sure to provide us with the correct email address.

3. QUESTIONS ABOUT TOURISM VISA ONLY

Who can apply for a Tourist Visa?

Vietnam tourist visa (classified as DL) is one of the most popular types of Vietnam visa for tourist purposes only so that holders of passports valid for at least 6 months can apply for this type of visa.

When should I apply for a visa?

Although it only takes 2-3 working days to get your visa approved, it is advised that you apply for Vietnam visa 1 - 2 weeks before your arrival date to avoid any payment or other administrative matters.

How long does it take to get the approval letter?

Generally, approval letters are processed and emailed to you within 2-3 business days (except Saturday, Sunday and national holidays). In the event of an emergency, you can obtain written consent within the timeframes below.

Same Day Processing (Working Day): If you apply and pay the fee before 12.00 PM Vietnam time during business hours (Monday-Friday), We will send you approval letter at 18:00 PM with day.

Next Day Processing (Working Day): If you apply and pay the fee before 12.00 PM Vietnam time during business hours (Monday Friday), We will send you approval letter at 18:00 PM next day (next) working day.

Note: The above processing time does not apply to Friday afternoon (after 12.00 PM) + Saturday and Sunday. Please consider the time difference between Vietnam and your country. For current Vietnam time, please click here.

  • Visa counter at Vietnam airport is open 24/7 so if you already have written approval you can still get visa at Vietnam airport on weekend.
  • For 3 months visa approval letter, it may take up to 3-5 business days.

4. QUESTION ABOUT BUSINESS VISA

Who can apply for a Business Visa?

Business visa also known as DN visa is issued to people who work or cooperate with Vietnam business.

How many types of business visas are there?

Recently, Vietnam Visa has 3 types of business visa as below:

  1. Commercial Visa (Business Visa) is issued to people who work or cooperate with Vietnam business. It is valid for 12 months.
  2. Investor visa (also known as DT visa) is issued to foreigners who establish or contribute capital to companies in Vietnam and work as lawyers. It is valid for up to 5 years.
  3. Foreign worker / work visa (also known as LD visa) is issued to foreigners who come to work in Vietnam and have a work permit or have a certificate of absence of a work permit as prescribed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Labor law. It is valid for 2 years.

5. QUESTIONS ABOUT VISA EXTENSION

What is visa extension?

Visa extension means you will have a new residence permit in Vietnam. Please remember that you are allowed to stay in Vietnam longer without re-entry if you leave Vietnam before your visa expires. So that means you have to apply for a new visa if you want to come back to Vietnam after leaving.

How long does it take to renew a visa?

It will basically take 7-10 business days for full processing.

What are the requirements for visa processing?

The visa extension requirements are as follows:

  • Your passport must be valid for at least 06 months from the time of renewal;
  • Your passport has at least 02 blank pages;

Can I extend my visa if I overstay in Vietnam?

Of course, you can. However, a penalty fee is charged and we will send you the official fine service issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department.

When do I need to extend my visa & how long do I need it?

You will be extended your Vietnam visa in case your visa expires. For example, your visa is a one-month entry visa, but you want to stay in Vietnam for 45 days in total, you need to extend your visa for another month. Mostly visas can be extended once. 6. VISA FEES, PAYMENT METHOD AND OTHER INFORMATION

What is the cost?

It depends on the type and length of the visa you are applying for. Generally, there are two fees you have to pay: Stamping fees (payable directly at Vietnam airport) + Our service fee for approval letter (prepaid).

How much is the stamping fee?

The stamping fee is the fee you have to pay at Vietnam airport to get the official visa stamp in your passport. Stamp fee must be in cash, credit cards are not accepted.

Airport stamp fee (Price per person)

  • 25 USD for single entry
  • 50 USD for multiple entries

Accepted currencies:

Immigration officers prefer to receive payments in US dollars (in cash). Besides USD, you can pay in other hard currency (RMB, Australian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Euro, etc.). However, the set of exchange rates at Immigration Check scores are normally 5-10% higher than quotes by banks. Therefore, you should consider which coin suits you best.

What are Debit ot Credit Cards accepted?

We currently accept both Debit and Credit Cards for payment of our approval letter service fees. Including: Visa, MasterCard, JCB.

My credit card number is correct, but it is not accepted. Why?

There are a few possibilities:

  • Card expiration date is entered incorrectly.
  • You have reached your credit limit.
  • There is a computer error.
  • Your Visa Verified password / MasterSecure code entered incorrectly.
